Awards and celebrations for ActionCOACH

Each year, ActionCOACH hold their global franchise conference in an inspiring location and the picturesque Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand, hosted this three-day event which also celebrated the brand’s 30th birthday. It is at this conference when the Team of the Year is announced. For the 15th consecutive year ActionCOACH UK has clinched this most-coveted award. They stood out for the support of their local franchise network and the contributions they have made to the wider ActionCOACH community.
Brad Sugars established ActionCOACH in 1993 from his bedroom in Brisbane and has since grown it into the world’s no. 1 business coaching franchise.
Co-founding a united UK base for the ActionCOACH franchise with Brad in 2001, Ian Christelow and Julie Wagstaff have led the pack through significant personal investment of both time and money, building an impressive support team for a network of over 200 franchise partners. No wonder then that they have achieved the title of Team of the Year at every global conference since 2009!
Julie said, “This award is a testament to the continued dedication of the ActionCOACH UK team who continue to lead the way. We’re reminded by this award of why we do what we do, our team is able to help thousands of business owners every year, empowering them to strive towards a more prosperous future, creating fresh opportunities and helping local communities thrive.’’
The global conference also takes the opportunity each year to highlight some outstanding individuals during their black-tie gala dinner. The UK team’s domination continued as one of their franchise partners, Peter Boolkah, was awarded the coveted Practice Premium Partner of the Year, beating off the competition from more than 1,000 coaches worldwide.
“It’s been a week of incredible conversations and invaluable insights shared by fellow colleagues. To have this week culminate in being awarded the Practice Premium Partner of the Year is such a thrill. This award has been a dream of mine since I joined ActionCOACH UK 18 years ago. Plus, having been recognised when we are celebrating our 30th anniversary is extra special,” said Peter.

As I reflect on this illustrious achievement, I’m reminded of the power of coaching and how it can not only transform businesses but people’s lives. The rewards for ActionCOACH’s efforts over the past year didn’t stop there. Upon returning from the conference in Thailand, the UK team found out they were shortlisted for the highest profile of franchise awards in the UK, the BFA HSBC Franchisor of the Year. Ian expressed his delight in ActionCOACH UK’s nomination:
